Organic semiconducting films have been extensively used for electronic devices such as organic field effect transistor (OFET), organic solar cell (OSC), and organic light-emitting device (OLED). This increasing use of organic semiconducting materials is mainly attributed to their potential for low-cost manufacturing, compared to inorganic semiconducting materials. To date, most of organic electronic devices employ a nanolayer of organic semiconducting materials, which is owing to their limited charge carrier mobility. Recently we have attempted to challenge “organic thick film devices” based on regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT). In this study we present a variety of physicochemical and electrical properties as well as a couple of device application results. |
