제목 Synthesis and characterization of polybenzimidazole with benzimidazole pendant for fuel cell applications
초록 New polymer electrolyte membranes for fuel cell applications were prepared using polybenzimidazole(PBI) with benzimidazole pendant, which was synthesized from functionalized BI and 3,3-daminobenzene. Membranes were prepared by solution casting, and subsequently immersed in phosphoric acid in order to gain ionic conductivity. The membranes were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, XRD, TGA, and DMA. UV spectrum was used to confirm the differences between m-PBI and functionalized PBI. The proton conductivity was measured carried at nearly anhydrous conditions (1% R.H.) at 80℃ to 120℃.
