제목 Phase Behavior and Alignment of Microdomains of Block Copolymers under Pressure and Physical Confinement
초록 Phase behavior and orientation of microdomains of block copolymers under confinement has been extensively studied. In this study, the phase transitions of polystyrene-block-poly(n-pentyl methacrylate) copolymer under the hydrostatic and gas pressures was investigated by Fourier-transformed Infra-red spectroscopy, small angle neutron scattering (SANS), and birefringence. Depending on the applied gases, the size of closed-loop consisting of both the lower disordered-to-ordered transition and the upper ordered-to-disordered transition varied dramatically. We also studied the alignment of the microdomains of polystyrene-block-polymethylmethacrylate copolymer confined by rigid hemi-spherical and cylindrical walls.
