Preparation and Characterization of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Pressure Sensitive Adhesive |

Polyurethanes (PUs) have been used for a variety of pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) application through many advantages: high strength, chemical resistance and flexibility. Generally, siloxane structure used to improve the properties of PU PSA due to thermal stability and good mechanical properties. In this study, we synthesized organic-inorganic hybrid PU by monodicarbinol terminated polydimethylsiloxane for improving mechanical properties of PU PSA. Chemical reaction confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR) and FT-IR. Hardness increased with increasing siloxane content. Mechanical properties was investigated by thermomechanical analysis (TMA) and rheometer. |
