제목 Synthesis of Silver Coated Carbon Nanotubes Using Electroless Plating for Polymer Composites
초록 Carbon nanotubes have advantages as conductive fillers due to large aspect ratio and excellent conductivity. In this study, a method based on coating of silver onto carbon nanotubes by electroless plating was proposed to improve conductivity of polymer composites. Pretreatment (oxidation, sensitization, activation) was used to obtain continuous coating layer, increase dispersion, increase activated sites. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images showed that the surface of carbon nanotubes were successfully coated with a continuous layer of silver. The conductivity of polymer composites was improved by the addition silver coated carbon nanotubes.
