Metallocene catalysts have been known to be single-site catalysts to give highly stereoregular poly(α-olefin). In order to study the characteristics of the highly stereoregular polymers, isotactic polypropylene(iPP) and syndiotactic polypropylene(sPP) were prepared by using stereospecific metallocene catalysts. A variety of characterization were done in this study using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), Infrared spectroscopy(IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and so forth, Single crystals of iPP and/or sPP have been grown from solution.. Their morphologies and structures were also studied using transmission electron microscopy(TEM). |
