제목 Polyphenylene sulfide-based Separators for High-Performance Energy Devices
초록 While polypropylene-or polyethylene-based porous membranes typically manufactured by thestretching method have been widely employed as a separator component to Li-ionbattery device, we have noticed highly critical matters such as the irregular sizeor distribution of pores resulting in limited control of charge transport, andthe mechanical degradation of the separators especially when the batterytemperature increases. To solve those matters, a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), oneof super engineering plastics, has been proposed as a separator material due tothe outstanding thermal stability and structural endurance. Once a PPS has beentailored to have a three-dimensional porous structure with, the electrochemicalexaminations and structural analysis have confirmed that the lithium-iontransfer exhibited notable increment of the long-term stability, and thebattery performances were modulated with the pore size control for three-dimensionalporous structure of PPS separator.
