제목 Molecular Design and Characterization of Fusion Proteins with Temperature Responsiveness and Surface Adhesion
초록 Genetically engineered polypeptides with stimuli-responsiveness offer unique properties as a function of stimulus while surface adhesive proteins have gained great interest because of adhesion characteristics against various solid surfaces in the presence of moisture. In this study, we report molecular design, expression, purification and characterization of fusion proteins of temperature-responsive elastin-based polypeptides (EBPs) and surface adhesion proteins (SAPs), which can be self-assembled and adhered to the various solid surfaces. The EBP-SAP fusion proteins were genetically designed, expressed, and purified by inverse transition cycling (ITC) and their physicochemical properties including viscoelasticity and surface adhesion were characterized. Potentially, these The EBP-SAP fusion proteins would be promising as multifunctional biomaterials.
