제목 | Synthesis of Complexes Containing β-Diimine Ligand and Production of Aliphatic Polycarbonate by Alternating Copolymerization of Carbon Dioxide with Epoxide |
초록 | Carbon dioxide is an ideal feedstock since it is abundant, inexpensive, nontoxic, and nonflammable. There has been considerable recent interest in the development of catalysts for the alternating copolymerization of carbon dioxide with epoxides to produce aliphatic polycarbonates. Recently, invention of zinc complex containing β-diimine ligand is able to copolymerize CO2/epoxides of high activity under mild conditions compared with previous heterogeneous catalysts. The process of existing aromatic polycarbonate by using bis-phenol-A is toxic and high cost. But, aliphatic polycarbonate using zinc complex is nontoxic and economical because of environmentally benign process and low cost monomer, carbon dioxide. In this study, we synthesized β-diimine ligands containing different types of ligand backbone and various substituents. And we investigated the effect of ligand structure on copolymerization behavior and polymer properties. |
