Charge-transfer complexes (CT) have been studied for several decades as a result of the unique chemical and physical properties. In particular, with well defined architecture, CT complexes are showing prominent merits over their bulk counterparts for applications in electronic and optoelectonic devices, such as solar cells, sensors, transistors and conductors. Many researchers therefore launched studied on the controllable synthesis of CT complexes. Especially, the assemblies of π-conjugated molecules have attracted special interest because of their great potential for the directional transportation of electrons and energy along with their molecular stacks. Among the π-conjugated molecules, tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) have been widely investigated as molecular metals in crystalline. Herein, we report an approach to fabricate TTF-TCNQ CT complexes by eutectic crystallization. Our method shows the simple process and crystal growth of improve crystallinity with combined soft-lithography. |
