제목 Comparison of EDC conversion and VCM selectivity of Al2O3, CeO2, N doped mesoporous carbon and Cs/SiO2 catalysts for dehydrochlorination of EDC
초록 Catalytic dehydrochlorination of EDC(1,2-dichloroethane) was conducted using Al2O3, CeO2, NMC(N doped mesoporous carbon)and Cs/SiO2 to select a catalyst exhibiting high EDC conversion and  VCM selectivity. CeO2 and Al2O3 catalysts showed high EDC conversion and NMC and Al2O3 catalysts showed high VCM selectivity. Al2O3 catalyst showed EDC conversion of 100 % up to 85 min,  and then decreased, showing EDC conversion of 60 % at 260 min. VCM yield of Al2O3 catalyst was the highest at 210 min, which is attributed to acid properties of Al2O3 being suitable for dehydrochlorination of EDC.
