Bridged polysilsesquioxanes (BPS) are formed by sol-gel polymerization, which have organic and inorganic domains dispersed at the molecular level. Those materials have multiple properties such as porosity, dielectric constant, thermal stability, chemical–function. In this study, we have prepared BPS containing polymerizable group through the reaction of BPS-SH and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) by UV irradiation. The final product, PMMA on BPS (BPS/PMMA) , was synthesized by in-situ radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) with BPS by free radical initiator, 2,2’-azo-bis-(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN). The properties of the hybrid nanocomposites (BPS/PMMA) were characterized by various analytical tools. |
