Various types of fuel cells had been a theme of research and development for their great potential as clean and highly effective power sources. The main routes for the synthesis of nanocluster electrocatalysts can be grouped into a chemical methods and electrochemical methods. On the other hands, conducting polymer such as polyaniline or polypyrrole were well known for having a high electrical conductivity and an easy preparation. In this work, polyaniline had been prepared by chemical polymerization and utilized as a support material for metal catalysts. Metal catalysts were deposited on polyaniline support and their electrochemical properties were studied and compared with those using carbon supports. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of support material on the electrochemical activities of metallic nanoclusters catalysts. Furthermore, the size and the loading level of catalysts that were prepared by electrical deposition methods were analyzed. |
