Reduced charge recombination by introduction of insulating ethyl moiety on TiO2 surface in dye-sensitized solar cells |
초록 |
A nanoporous TiO2 film was modified with an aqueous sodium ethane sulfonate(C2H5SO3Na), and the resulting film was applied to the photoelectrode of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The DSSC with C2H5SO3Na-modified photoelctrode showed an increase in short circuit current (Jsc) and open circuit voltage (Voc), resulting in a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 10.25%, compared to that (9.89%) of reference device with bare TiO2. The suppression of charge recombination between photo-injected electrons and triiodide (I3-) ions was found to increase both Jsc and Voc of the device with C2H5SO3Na-modified photoelctrode. |
