제목 Solution-Processable Carbon-Based Conducting Nanoparticles for Organic Electronics
초록 We prepared two different types of water-soluble carbon-based nanoparticles as conducting electrode materials for organic electronics. Carbon nanotube (CNT)- and grapheme (G)-coated core-shell nanoparticles, with different sizes ranging from 300 nm to 1 µm, were prepared as follows: (1) polymeric positive (+)-charged core particles were synthesized using emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization; (2) pristine CNT and G were oxidized to introduce negative (-) charged surfaces; (3) optimal carbon-coated nanoparticle suspended solutions were fabricated via the surface (+/-) charged interaction. In order to characterize the conductivity of both CNT- and graphene oxide-coated nanoparticles, thin films were solution-cast on highly doped Si substrates, and then Au electrode dots were thermally evaporated onto these cast films. In addition, the carbon-based top electrode organic field-effect transistors containing poly(3-hexyl thiophene) were fabricated and characterized.
