Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) has been of great interest in biological applications. Herein, we investigated the shape dependent cytotoxicity and proinflammatoty effect in mouse alveolar macrophage (J774A.1) cells and human lung fibroblast (IMR90). Cell morphological change, cell viability assay, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and cytokine release were conducted for in vitro assessment to evaluate the toxicity of PEDOT nanomaterials. These findings provide better understanig of affecting geometrical parameter and bioapplication of PEDOT nanomaterials. |
