제목 Controlling self-assembled nanostructure in block copolymer thin films via blending with homopolymers and surfactants
초록 Block copolymers consisting of chemically different components form various self-assembled nanostructures. The nanostructure and properties of thin films of block copolymers can be further controlled by various methods including the addition of low-mass surfactant or homopolymer. In this work, we combined such methods to control the nanostructure and properties in blends of PS-b-PEO block copolymer with a low-mass surfactant or homopolymer in thin films. The nanostructure could be changed from cylindrical structure to inverted phases by the addition of low-mass surfactants, and the characteristic size of the surface structure in thin films was systematically controlled by additional introduction of homopolymer PS and PEO. These systems can act as templates and scaffolds for applications ranging from microelectronic to tissue engineering.
