Highly Efficient Inverted Polymer Light-Emitting Didoes by Charge-Carrier Balance |
초록 |
Highly efficient inverted polymer light-emitting didoes using polar solvent treatment on zinc oxide (ZnO) and polyfluorene (F8):poly (9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-N-(4-butylphenyl)-diphenylamine (TFB) blend system have been demonstrated by charge-carrier balance. The interfacial dipole layer by polar solvent including amine group reduced the energy barrier between ZnO and emissive polymer with blocking hole carriers, resulting in significantly improvement of the recombination of charge carriers and efficiency of inverted-type polymer light-emitting diodes (IPLEDs). In addition, the addition of a small amount of TFB into F8 functions as hole trap due to the difference between highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level of F8 and TFB, leading to balance charge-carrier transport via the blocking of hole carriers and enhances device efficiency. In this work, luminance efficiency increases by double times with addition of TFB and increases by forty-four times using interfacial dipole layer. |
