제목 Effect of Terminal Groups in Side Chains on Polymer Field-Effect Transistor Properties
초록 In molecular design of high performance polymer semiconductors, side-chain engineering has recently attracted great attentions due to easy modulation of intermolecular self-assembly and charge-carrier mobility. Unprecedentedly high performance semiconductors have been achieved via tuning of branching position of the alkyl chains or using the siloxane hybrid side chains to alleviate the steric side effect of alkyl chains in π-conjugated systems. To date, however, no report has clearly addressed the actual role of the siloxane-terminal groups in film morphology and device performance in comparison with the alkyl-terminal analogs. In this study, we systematically investigated the effect of terminal groups in side chains on microstructures and transistor properties to give new insights into the molecular design of high-performance, ambient-stable conjugated polymers with facile solution processing.
