Fabrication of the Cross-linked Polysiloxane Network Containing POSS Side Chain. |

Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(POSS) has been incorporated into various polymers to make hybrid materials. POSS with rigid silica-like core has a high thermal and mechanical properties. Polymethylhydrosilxane(PMHS)-based electrolyte has been popular for lithium ion polymer electrolyte application. In this study, allyl-POSS was synthesized by the corner-capping reaction of incompletely condensed silsesquionxane and allyl trichlorosilane. Polysiloxane with POSS side chain was prepared by the hydrosilylation reaction of PMHS and Allyl-POSS under Pt catalyst. The obtained polysiloxane with POSS side chain was used to make cross-linked polysiloxane network having POSS units with diallyl poly(ethylene glycol) cross-linking reagent. |
