Hybrid epoxy resin was prepared by diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A(DGEBA), silica nanoparticles, curing with ethylene diamine(EDA), and POSS-SH. POSS-SH was used as the curing accelerator. The epoxy-silica nanocomposite showed good transparency and miscibility observed with AFM and SEM. The thermal stability of the hybrid epoxy resin with silica nanoparticles was improved with the incorporation of the colloidal silica. And the effect of POSS-SH as a curing accelerator was characterized by various analytical tools. |
