Programming stimuli-responsive materials are rising candidate to realize shape reconfigurable devices. One of stimuli-responsive materials is magneto-responsive material. The devices composed of magneto-responsive materials can response at room temperature in a dry environment unlike other stimuli-responsive materials such as thermo- and chemical-responsive systems. Here, we prepared magneto-active polymer composites microarray via replica molding. The magnetic component, iron particles, is dispersed in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix. To program alignment of the iron particles, external magnetic field is applied before curing the matrix. Various dispersion states are prepared and compared. In this presentation, we report the effects of magnetic particle alignment within composites microarray at various magnetic flux density. |
