Synthesis and catalytic activity of Transition metal Schiff’s Bases of 2-Chlorobenzaldehyde with diamines |

Preparation of Schiff’s bases of 2-chlorobenzaldehyde with diamines in solvent free hydrothermal and microwave synthesis were carried out.Thetransition metal complexes of these ligands and their reduced forms is undertaken. These are characterized by FT-IR, NMR and elemental analysis. These complexes are tested for hydrogenation of 1-octene. They have shown as promisingcatalysts. In this context we tested the Schiff’s bases and its complexes directly and reduced amine form.The later has shown good activity. These are also tested for carboxylation of hydrocarbons by using carbon dioxide. The application of carboxylation of hydrocarbons is important inenvironmental studies. |
