제목 Reactive Blends of Polypropylene and Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Compatibilized with Ethylene Glycidyl Metharcylate.
초록 Rheological and morphological properties of polypropylene (PP) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) blend containing ethylene glycidyl methacrylate (EGMA) as compatibilizer was studied by advanced rheometric expansion system and scanning electron microscopy. Polymer blends of the PP and EPDM with peroxide as dynamic curing agent and EGMA as compatibilizer were prepared simultaneously. Sample preparation was carried out in an internal mixer at 200℃ and 30 rpm. In the study of complex viscosity, the PP/EPDM (50/50) blends showed maximum value at the 1.0 phr EGMA content, which suggested the compatibilization effect of EGMA in the PP/EPDM blends. From the dynamic rheological properties, the storage modulus and loss modulus of the PP/EPDM (50/50) blend were increased with the increase of the EGMA and showed the maximum value at the 1.0phr EGMA content. Also, in the study of the morphological properties, the droplet size of the EPDM in the PP/EPDM blends was decreased with the increase of the EGMA.
