DNA-mediated gold nanoparticles by without destroying the hydrogen bonds of the base pairings were studied as follows. The reactions of hydrogen tetrachloroaurate (III) trihydrate (HAuCl43H2O) with the DNA at pH 5.6 were studied by UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, ICP and XPS measurements. And the morphology of complexes were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). And the complexes were used as templates for the preparation of gold nanoparticles. DNA mediated gold nanoparticles were prepared by reducing the gold-DNA complexes. The distributions of particles were obtained from Electrophoretic Light Scattering (ELS), the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the transmission electron microscopy (TEM). |
