The effect of gamma-ray irradiation on the zinc particle containing poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel |
초록 |
The poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) hydrogel is expected to be an excellent substrate for dispersing and stabilizing metal particles. In particular, the use of gamma-irradiation in the preparation process has been considered as a clean and effective method for hydrogel crosslinking at the ambient temperature without producing any unwanted byproducts. In this study, the characterization of zinc chloride or zinc oxide incorporated into a PAA hydrogel prepared by gamma-ray irradiation was investigated. In addition, the antibacterial activity was investigated and confirmed against both gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) and gram-negative Escherichia coli (E.coli) strains. |
