제목 The effect of gamma-ray irradiation on the zinc particle containing poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel
초록 The poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) hydrogel is expected to be an excellent substrate for dispersing and stabilizing metal particles. In particular, the use of gamma-irradiation in the preparation process has been considered as a clean and effective method for hydrogel crosslinking at the ambient temperature without producing any unwanted byproducts. In this study, the characterization of zinc chloride or zinc oxide incorporated into a PAA hydrogel prepared by gamma-ray irradiation was investigated. In addition, the antibacterial activity was investigated and confirmed against both gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) and gram-negative Escherichia coli (E.coli) strains.
