In-Situ Grafting of Hyperbranched Poly(ether ketone) onto Graphite via A3+B2 Approach in Poly(phosphoric acid)/Phosphorous Pentoxide Medium |
초록 |
Hyperbranched poly(ether ketone) grafted graphite (HPEK-g-graphite) were prepared via in-situ polymerizations of trimesic acid as an A3 monomer and diphenyl ether as a B2 monomer in the presence of two types (flake and mesh) of graphite in polyphophoric acid (PPA)/phosphorous pentoxide (P2O5) medium. Although graphite is the stacks of graphene layers with weaker van der Waals forces among the layers, complete exfoliation of these layers is very difficult because of higher crystal lattice energy. The origin of the strong interaction among graphene sheets is the sum of week van der Waals force in a large surface area. Hence, graphite is one of the most difficult carbon forms to be exfoliated. The HPEKs as molecular wedges were grafted onto the edges of graphite to be exfoliated into graphene layers. The resultant HPEK-g-graphites were studied by SEM, TEM,AFM and so on. The results showed that significant portion of graphites was completely exfoliated and rolled into nanoscale tubes. |
