Kinetic Analysis of Perovskite Grain Growth during Sequential Deposition Method |

Sequential deposition method(SDM) is a promising method to fabricate well-performing CH3NH3PbI3 thin film for perovskite solar cells(Pe-SCs). Several processing conditions during SDM can vary final perovskite morphology, but the detail comprehension is still insufficient. Here, we applied Johnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogrov(JMAK) model on the SDM to perform kinetic analysis. The time-resolved intermediate states from pristine PbI2 to full-converted perovskite are analyzed by X-ray and optical instruments. Overall conversion level of the reaction follows Avrami equation from JMAK model, and entire reaction divided into two regions showing different avrami exponent(n) values. From the results, the kinetic parameters from the first region are deeply correlated to final perovskite grain size and homogeneity, and the parameters can varied by processing conditions. In other words, it is possible to anticipate the final perovskite morphology with kinetic parameter from JMAK model. |
