Polyimide/CNT nanocomposite was a considerable amount of publications associated with the preparation. Polyisoimides is another precursor to polyimides which possesses improved solubility. Polyisoimides can be converted to polyimides without formation of water, which could be advantageously utilized in fabrication of void-free laminates and adhesive joints. In this work, organo-soluble polyisoimide typically from ODA/ODPA was synthesized and used for the preparation of nanocomposites with CNT. Also, organo-soluble polyimide typically from BAPB/FDA, i.e. a system with non-coplanar moiety in dianhydride monomer and flexible bridging linkages in diamine monomer, was synthesized by chemical imidization via poly(amic acid) and used for the preparation of nanocomposites with CNT using the same method. The as-prepared PI/CNT nanocomposite materials were characterized by IR spectroscopy, XRD. The dispersion behavior and thermal & mechanical properties of the composites in cast films were investigated. |
