Synthesis and Self-Assembled Monolayers of the End-Functionalized Poly(3-hexylthiophene) |

End-functionalized regioregular Poly(3-hexylthiophene)s (EF-P3HT) with reactive end groups were synthesized by the catalyst-transfer polycondensation using Ni-catalyst, followed by reaction with 3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl isocyanate. Thin films of the EF-P3HT were prepared by drop-casting from chloroform solutions. Crystalline monolayers of the EF-P3HT nanofibrils with long-range order were obtained by solvent vapor annealing and thermal annealing. We will present the morphology and property of the P3HT monolayer. |
