The improvement of electrocatalytic reactions in renewable energy system holds a key strategy to accelerate storage and conversional efficiency that has withdrawn a great attention to find highly active, green and cheap non-metal catalyst. Along with this effort, the outstanding electrocatalyst of boron-doped graphene quantum dots (BGQD) anchored on graphene hydrogel (GH) has been fabricated through one-step hydrothermal. The all carbon-based hybrid nanomaterial possesses superior simultaneous trifunctional electrocatalytic activity toward oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) with an excellent long-term stability and durability, even slightly approaching the available commercial Pt/C and Ir/C. The integration of BGQD and GH induces synergistic effect of high electrical conductivity as well as large surface area of graphene hydrogel and abundance of catalytically active sites on BGQDs surface, thus leading to enhance catalytic activities. |
