Surface functionalization of multi-wall carbon nanotubes through a dry process |
초록 |
A simple dry chemical process using ozone atmosphere at room temperature was used to functionalize multi-wallled carbon nanotubes. Ozone treatments increased the stability in water and organic solvents. FT-IR spectra proved introduction of various functional groups oxidation through on the surface of MWNTs. Results of XPS also showed that the surface oxygen increased with increasing ozone treatment time. Conclusively, ozone treatment treatment was found to be effective dry process in chemical functionalization of MWNTs. |
