Developing a photocatalysis system to generate hydrogen from water is a topic of great interest for funtamental and practical importance.The activity of such systems typically determined by efficient separation of photogenerated charges at well-designed interfaces introducing gradients of elctrochemical potential.Assembling photocatalyst materials in the form of hybrid or composite architectures can lead to highly enhanced photoconversion efficiencies.We studied the high quality of the non-metal/metal impurities offers significant charge ttransport and visible light adsorption to the photocatalyst.In particular,the advantages and drawbacks of catalyst deposition routes and the role of photoelctrochemical and advanced spectroscopic techniques for elucidation of the mechanism of the photocatalytic action wiil be discussed in detail. |
