The behavior of protein adsorption according to substrate charge state was characterized by BCA assay and AFM analysis. As a basic condition to prevent the adsorption of protein, the surface of substrate, ie. membrane, was modified into hydrophilic surface. Pectin, dextran, hyaluronic acid and chitosan were hired to offering hydrophilicity of the surface where chitosan has a positive charge owing to NH3+, and hyaluronic acid has a negative charge owing to COO-. The modified surface andadsorption of protein pattern was observed by AFM. Amount ofprotein adsorption was measured by BCA assay. It was observed that protein adsorption was depending on charge state of substrate. There is a significant reduced adsorption on the negative charged substrate resulting that adsorbed protein had more fine pattern. |
