Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have been made to explore potential applications due to advantage of solution processability and ease of fabrication. However, the recombination of electrons and holes is a major loss mechanism in photovoltaic devices that can affect their performance. In inverted structured OSCs, hole transport layers (HTLs), PEDOT:PSS, with high conductivity and transparency, was introduced on photoactive layer via solution process. However, the corrosive nature is harmful for photoactive layer with respect to stability of device. By introducing an interlayer to modify interfacial characteristic, it is possible to alleviate unbalanced carrier mobility and reduce carrier recombination. In this study, we fabricated OSCs with conjugated polyelectrolytes and metal oxide hybrid HTLs to enhanced performance and stability. As a result, hybrid HTL introduced device exhibited enhanced performance and stability than PEDOT:PSS based device. |
