The effect of AlF3 Coating on the High-Voltage Cycling Behavior of Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 Cathode |

To improve the clcying performance of Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 in high voltage range (3.0 - 4.5 or 3.0 - 4.6 V), The effect of AlF3-coating on electrochemical performance of was evaluated Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2. The SEM and TEM study showed a uniform AlF3-coating layer with a thickness of about 20nm on pristine Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 particles. AlF3-coated Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 shows significantly improved cycling performance compared to the pristine Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2. The AC impedance results showed that AlF3-coating formed a stable interface between positive electrode particles and electrolyte. |
