제목 Surface Modification of Magnetic Colloidal Particles using Hydrogen Bonded or Ionic Bonded Polyelectrolyte Multilayer Coatings
초록 We have studied polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEMs) on flat and colloidal particles containing PAAm homo- or copolymers driven by hydrogen bonding or electrostatic interaction. Biological interactions on the PEM coatings that were prepared at various pH conditions were studied using epithelial cell lines. Depending on the assembly conditions, the assembled PEMs showed different cellular interactions. The PEM coatings were applied on magnetic particles and the deposited films were examined by zeta-potential analysis and fluorescence microscope. These coatings provided the versatility on introducing chemical and biological functionalities using reactive groups of the PEM films. We could introduce bio-active molecules (ligand, etc) on the particle using the PEM coating.
