In this paper, palladium nanoparticles dispersed modified graphene nanosheet (G/PHEN/Pd) hybrid has been synthesized by using a facile non-covalent approach. Firstly, the 1,10 Phenathroline matrix was chemically adsorbed on the surfaces of the graphene oxide through π–π stacking. Then, Pd2+ were chemically bound to the functionalized GO sheets and subsequently reduced by NaBH4 to yield Pd adhered modified graphene sheets. The structure and morphology of the resulting hybrid were characterized by FTIR, TGA, EDX, FESEM, HRTEM, UV–vis and XRD measurements. UV–vis and XRD results revealed that the reduction of Pd2+ to metallic Pd was successfully achieved, while the HRTEM images suggested that the Pd nanoparticles were well-dispersed on the functionalized graphene sheets. |
