제목 Pyrene-Driven Self-Assembly for Improved Interconnectivity in Benzo[1,2‑b:4,5‑b′]dithiophene (BDT)−Thienothiophene(TT)−Pyrene Copolymers for Polymer Solar Cell
초록 We polymerized and characterized a series of benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b′]-dithiophene-based random copolymers including pyrene units. Concentration-dependent pyrene-driven self-assembly in the resulting copolymers was systematically investigated by a variety of measurements. The pyrene−pyrene interactions were found to enable the copolymers to construct fibrous and interconnected structures. As the content of Pyrene unit increased, multiple Pyrene−Pyrene interactions within a few polymer chains were dominant and these interactions induced to form a more ordered phase but less interconnectivity among many polymer chains. A threshold amount of the Pyrene unit facilitated the Pyrene−Pyrene interactions to propagate over many polymer chains to form a highly interconnected structure that improved hole transport pathways and, thus, the photovoltaic performances of resulting bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells were increased (5.03 → 7.52%).
