제목 Improved efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells by oxygen ion-beam treatment of TiO2 film
초록 Oxygen vacancy related surface defects on porous TiO2 was controlled by oxygen ion-beam treatment and the role of such defects on the performance of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) was investigated. With O2 ion beam treatment of TiO2 film with beam energy of 0.5 and 1.0 KeV, FE-SEM images revealed a significant decrease in agglomeration of the TiO2 film. A decrease in contact angle implied more hydrophilic nature and UV-Visible spectra showed increased dye adsorption by TiO2 film. With O2 ion-beam treatment at 0.5 and 1.0 KeV, significant increase in both open-circuit voltage (Voc) and short-circuit current (Jsc) were observed, which results in improving the photoconversion efficiency. Impedance spectra of the O2 ion beam treated TiO2 film showed reduction of recombination reactions in DSSCs. By applying O2 ion-beam treated TiO2 film electrode maximum solar-to-electricity conversion efficiency of 8.04 % compared to the efficiency of 6.15 % using untreated TiO2 electrode.
