제목 | Novel Approach for Collector-less Flotation using Depletion Attraction: Theroy and Experiment |
초록 | We propose a theoretical model that explains how this attractive interaction could enhance flotation efficiency and we experimentally investigate the effect of the depletion attraction on the flotation of malachite. i)The magnitude of the depletion attraction increases as the concentration increases; however, increase in the concentration simultaneously enhances its surface concentration. In contrast, the optimal molecular weight of the depletion agents can be determined through the interplay between the size of the depletion agents that is determined by the molecular weight and the Debye length that is determined by the surface charge of the particle and the ionic strength in the solution. ii)We find that before the recovery increases significantly as the concentration of the depletion agents increases for all three systems, as the depletion agent facilitates the attachment of the particle to the bubble surface.
