A novel D-A alternating copolymers synthesized by Stille coupling reaction for use in polymer solar cells is composed of theinly substituted benzodithiophene (BDT-T) and mono- or di- fluorinated quinoxaline (Qx). In order to look into effect of molecular spacer and withdrawing properties, each polymers have one or two fluorine group and thiophene bridge. These polymers have good solubility in typical type of organic solvents such as chloroform, toluene, chlorobenzene and o-dichlorobenzene (ODCB). The optical properties of polymers were observed λmax at 560~620 nm in solution and at 570~627 nm in thin film state, respectively. The optical bandgap (Egopt) of the polymer measured from the absorption onset (658~672 nm) was 1.84~1.89 eV. Owing to stronger intermolecular interaction, From solution to film state, All the polymers showed red-shifted absorption spectra. As the results, the PCE of four polymers were achieved 2.66, 3.02, 5.95, and 5.50%, respectively. |
