Poly(3-hexylthiophene) wrapped carbon nanotube / poly(dimethylsiloxane) nanocomposite for finger-sensing piezoresistive pressure sensors |
초록 |
Electrically conductive polymer composites (ECPCs), which consists of conductive filler and insulating polymer, has been receiving a lot of attention due to their unique mechanical and electrical properties including good piezoresistivity. Their mechanical flexibility and ease of processing have created intense potential applications for cheap, flexible, and large area pressure-sensors. In this study, we have realized ECPCs, using multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) as conductive filler and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as polymer matrix, operated in extremely small and finger-sensing pressure range. For homogeneous dispersion of MWNT in PDMS, MWNT was modified via polymer wrapping method using poly(3-hexylthiophene). The well-dispersed MWNT/PDMS nanocomposite showed good piezoresistive property in the 0~0.12MPa range. |
