제목 Preparation and characterization of hydrogel microspheres of poly(vinyl alcohol) and poly(acrylic acid) interpenetrating polymer networks
초록 The novel hydrogel microspheres, which consisted of poly(vinyl alcohol) and poly(acrylic acid) interpenetrating polymer networks, were prepared by emulsion radical polymerization. These hydrogel microspheres had the three-dimensional networks that were capable of imbibing large quantities of water and releasing drugs at the controlled rates. The hydrogel microsperes exhibited a sensitive pH-responsiveness much better at the basic pH range than at the acidic pH range. FT-IR spectra were also used to confirm the composition of the hydrogel microspheres. The particle size and morphology of hydrogel microspheres were studied by using scanning electron microscope.
