제목 | Crystal Transformation of Goethite to Magnetite in a Coprecipitation Reaction |
초록 | A number of synthetic methods have been developed to prepare magnetic nanoparticles. These include “thermal decomposition” method , “microemulsion” method, and “aqueous coprecipitation” method. Among these methods, aqueous coprecipitation method is the most facile means of preparing magnetite nanoparticles in mild and environment-friendly conditions. However, there is little information on the crystal transformation of iron oxide nanoparticles by “aqueous coprecipitation” method. In this study, we show that controlling of the reaction rate allows us to ascertain the crystal structures of intermediates during coprecipitation reaction for preparing magnetite. The morphology and crystal structures were investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). |
