제목 Immobilization of polyelectrolyte thin film on polymer substrate using simple ion irradiation for controlling cell adhesion behavior
초록 In this research, a simple method for a preparation of poly(diallyldimethly ammonium chloride) (PDDA)-based substrate using ion beam irradiation was developed to control cell adhesion behaviors. The PDDA thin films spin-coated on tissue culture polystyrene (TCPS) substrates were irradiated with 200 keV proton ions to immobilize PDDA thin films at various ion fluences. The results of the surface characterization revealed that PDDA thin films were successfully immobilized on the TCPS and the changes in their morphological and chemical properties are dependent on the ion fluence. Moreover, based on the result of in-vitro cell culture, the cell adhesion and proliferation on the irradiated PDDA is more favorable with increasing ion fluence. This result could be ascribed that the amount of positive charges on PDDA surface was reduced by ion beam exposure.
