제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Ti Adhesive Polymer Nanoparticles for Controlled Release of Bioactive Agents
초록 Surface engineering with bioactive agents has been widely utilized to promote the performance of medical devices. In particular, the surface immobilization of nanocontainers that can control the release of bioactive molecules has emerged as a promising technique. Herein, we report on a novel nanoparticle bearing Ti-adhesive catechol moieties on its outer periphery. The nanoparticles were prepared by the self-assembly of catechol-terminated polyaspartate-b-polyphenylalanine copolymer. The nanoparticles could be immobilized onto Ti surfaces by a simple dipping process without the pre-treatment of Ti surfaces. We demonstrated the detailed synthetic strategy for the adhesive nanoparticles that have a wide spectrum of applications in various metal and ceramic surfaces. As a preliminary work, the surface properties for controlled loading and release of BMP-2 were investigated.
