제목 Development of an oxidized nanofibrillar cellulose and chitosan based hemostat for bone applications
초록 The aim of the study was to develop a new hemostat from oxidized nanofibrillar cellulose and chitosan. Oxidized nanifibrillar cellulose – chitosan hemostat was prepared by freeze-drying method. Material properties were tested using SEM, micro CT, FTIR. Degradation behavior was tested using lysozyme. Detailed biocompatibility study was performed using rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Clot formation properties were observed using rat RBC. Fabricated hemostat was implanted in rat skull for 1 and 3 weeks to evaluate the in vivo efficiency.
