제목 Effects of the Direct-grown-CNTs on Work of Adhesion of Carbon Fibers
초록 In this work, effects of the direct-grown-CNTs on work of adhesion of carbon fibers with epoxy matrix were investigated. CNTs-on-CF were prepared by a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique. The work of adhesion of the resultant CNTs-on-CF were shown to depend on the CF used, the catalytic coating condition, the CNTs growth temperature, growth time, and atmospheric conditions within the CVD chamber. As a result, work of adhesion of the CNTs-on-CF showed higher values than those of as-received CF. This result can be estimated that CNTs improved the interfacial load transfer, which likely resulted from local stiffening of the matrix.
