제목 Electrochromic display using PEDOT thin film and fiber
초록 Electrochromic devices attract great interest due to their potential use in various applications, such as information display, automotive industry and other electro-optical devices. Conducting polymer as an electrochromic layers have gained increasing attention owing to their optical properties, fast switching times and contrast ratios. Among various conducting polymers for electrochromism, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT) has low oxidation potential and high stability in the doped form, ability to easily switch between the dark-blue and transparent states (between +3.0V and -3.0V). PEDOT film or fiber utilized as an electrochromic layer was deposited by electrospining or ink-jet printing techniques on indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass or film as an electrode. Electrochromic cell was fabricated by injecting electrolytes between two electrodes. The electrochemical property of the cell was measured using electrochemical redox, confirming color change of the cell at that time.
